Patriots trade Deion Branch to the Seahawks
The Patriots traded their top receiver from last season Deion Branch to the Seahawks for Seattle’s first round pick in 2007. It will be a low pick because the Seahawks are a good team. This was a bad decision by Belichick, and Tom Brady can’t possibly be happy right now. The Patriots better keep running the ball well, because they’re receiving corps will be weak all season long.

Bad move by Belichick?! It seems that Branch’s refusal to be part of the team might deserve a hit here, huh?
I can understand a guy knowing he can parlay $1 mil left on a contract to huge dollars, but don’t blame the management. It’s human nature and human nature in the NFL is complicated by crazy amounts of cash.
Do I blame Branch for leaving? No. It’s not a game, it’s business. Do I think he acted like a giant dickhead in getting what he wanted? Well, I’m too much of a lady to say so.
I don’t blame Branch for wanting to get paid. He has been the best receiver on the Patriots for a long time. Tom Brady and the offense will miss him when the running game gets shut down.
