Tom Brady had an off game at the wrong time.  Brady completed 20 of 35 passes for 201 yards and 4 INT!  Laurence Maroney carried the ball 13 times for 63 yards (4.8 ypc).  Corey Dillon had a solid game, carrying the ball 13 times for 48 yards (3.7 ypc) and 2 TDs.  Kevin Faulk carried the ball 4 times for 24 yards and caught 5 passes for 31 yards.  TE Ben Watson caught 4 passes for 54 yards.  Troy Brown caught 5 passes for 37 yards and became the Patriots all-time leader in receptions.

Junior Seau was all over the field with 10 tackles and a sack.  LB Roosevelt Colvin (1.5 sacks) and CB Chad Scott (2 tackles, interception) each had big contributions on the defense.  The Patriots stuffed the Colts running game allowing 53 yards on 25 carries (2.1 ypc).  The Colts carved up the Patriots secondary, completing 20 of 36 passes for 301 net yards passing.

The momentum of this game was disrupted early by bad officiating. Even the announcers could not find the infractions and they get all over it when they do playing it multiple times until some one either snaps he ball or protests. Between baseball and football I see a glaring influence coming from the announcers booth. Years ago it affected golf with building a stance now dirt on a pitchers hand and the phantom calls early in last nights game. Disrupting the Patriots offensive flow. Just my thoughts lots of season to go yet!

I agree that the officiating is bad in the NFL. I bet you weren’t saying they sucked when they pretty much gave the Patriots a win in the playoffs in the snow against the Raiders.

The Patriots had alot of chances to make plays in that football game last night, by Tom Brady had an off game. That happens to even the best of them. Don’t worry, the Patriots will probably get another chance at those guys in the playoffs.

Yes your right about that officiating the tuck rule was out there and still is the butt of announcers jokes today. However it seems that the officials are becoming more visiable when they should blend in except in the case of unsportman like conduct. What of the announcers though have you listened to them in any sport? They dont seem to be as knowledgeable as the old days. Maybe it’s just me but the verbal errors seem to come out like a machine gun. They get the color wrong and the players attitude it seems. The stats are always correct it how they translate them. Seems as though they are getting lazy

OK .. so thise who watched the game would understand that 8 infractions to = 81 yards in penalties, would not win a game .. running the ball was working ..throwing was not good .. so use what works ..oops .. Pats did not ..
Review: Pats gave Indy a game … Indy did not win, but unfortunately, it does go in the win column

I agree AJ. If the Patriots would have kept running the ball, the Patriots would have won this football game.
