The Patriots destroy the Texans 40-7!
The Patriots defense was awesome, the special teams were also great and the offense was efficient. Tom Brady managed the game well as he completed 16 of 23 passes for 109 yards and 2 TDs. Corey Dillon carried the ball 20 times for 61 yards (3.1 ypc) and he caught 5 passes for 20 yards. Heath Evans added 8 carries for 24 yards (3.0 ypc). Kevin Faulk played really well in his limited touches. Faulk carried the ball 4 times for 22 yards (5.5 ypc) and a TD. He also caught 2 passes for 46 yards and a TD. Reche Caldwell caught 6 passes for 25 yards. Jabar Gaffney caught one pass and it was a 6 yard TD pass.
The Patriots defense played great today. Tedy Bruschi led the way for the Patriots with 10 tackles. DE Tully Banta-Cain had a great game with 6 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Asante Samuel had a good game too with 5 tackles and an interception. Ellis Hobbs was fantastic today as he made 3 tackles, intercepted a pass and returned a kick-off 93 yards for a TD. The Texans ran the ball 22 times for 105 yards (4.8 ypc). The Texans only completed 16 of 28 passes for 93 net yards passing and the Pats picked off 4 passes.
The Patriots improved to 10-4 on the season with this dominant effort.

well … I am no longer a virgin … never had been to a Patriot’s season game and never to Gillette .. my son took care of that …. hooking up with his friends season tickets, he brought me to excitement .. from tailgating with 2 pros (Aunt Joey and Uncle Mike) how could I loose? Well this was to be my Christmas present from my son … so was the Sam Adams and, the Patriots delivered the desert … awesome D and good, solid offense .. that is what wins a game .. OK, so you say the Texans are easy? Well any team can beat any team with the correct working combination .. the Patriots did not let up … now the intesity will have to carry through the rest of the season … go Pats ..
AJ
What a great game to bust your cherry on (LOL!). It sounds like your son gave you a fantastic Christmas present.
As far as the game goes, the Patriots really need that. After the debacle in Miami…they needed to kick some butt on the home field and they did that.
Are you kidding me…that Pat’s Texans Game was like watching a Bully Beat Up a Retard. The Texans STINK! As a true fan, I was happy to see them win…but it was the wrong team to win against to celebrate too loudly. Now if we can pull this off in Jax’ville we can stand proud. This is going to be a tough game…we’ve lost our punter, Dillon has to rush the ball for the most part (and he hasn’t been that stellar the last 4 games or so)…thank God for Kevin Faulk…he may be our saving grace on offense…and why did we turf Gabriel??? I see our season coming to an end very rapidly.
I hope I can eat crow though…I would love to see the boys storm their way in to the play offs and who knows, maybe another Superbowl.
Wishing, Hoping, and Praying for the Pats!

well, well … as we all know …ANY team canbeatANY team on ANY given day … so, if the Patriots bad team showed up… guess what ? OK so we creamed a bad team, but suppose we couldn’t, or even got beat ?
Any .. did beating the Jags tell you something? … beating the Jets tell you something?
AJ, the Patriots are peaking at the right time. They may have a little surprise for the Chargers on Sunday.
