The Patriots blast the Titans 40-23
The Titans never had a chance against the Patriots in this football game. Tom Brady had a really efficient game as he completed 15 of 24 passes for 225 yards and a TD. Vinny Testaverde finished up the game an completed 2 of 3 passes for 29 yards and a TD. Laurence Maroney had a solid game with 14 carries for 73 yards (5.6 ypc) and a TD. Corey Dillon was very busy today with 12 carries for 67 yards (5.6 ypc) and 2 TDs. He also caught 2 passes for 59 yards. Reche Caldwell had a great game with 4 catches for 134 yards and a TD. Troy Brown pitched in with 3 grabs for 13 yards and a TD.
Asante Samuel led a decent effort by the Patriots defense with 2 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 2 interceptions. The Patriots allowed the Titans to carry the ball 25 times for 135 yards (5.4 ypc). The Titans completed only 15 of 36 passes for 207 net yards passing.
The Patriots did allow Pac Man Jones to return a punt 81 yards for a TD.
Enjoyed the game, but I am always wondering how the 3 time champs never get the respect from commentators, that they deserve … but it is nice to see them eat crow ..
Patriots do struggle @ times, as will any team … how wonderful everyone thought of the Bears and the Colts … have you watched them lately??? I can remember the days when you did not feel that the Pats deserved any credit … remember how we used to watch them lose again & again .. this is not the same franchise … they have been a team to deal with !!

Hey AJ, let everyone else talk about the Chargers, Ravens and Colts….because nobody wants to play Brady & Belichick in the playoffs. I’m amazed at the level of play that the offense has sustained this season despite getting rid of Brady’s top 2 receivers. He has shown me more this season than he ever has before. I think the Jets are in deep trouble this weekend.
