The Patriots have signed 29-year old CB Lewis Sanders.  Sanders played in 14 games last season for the Falcons and he finished with 36 tackles and 2 passes defended.  Sanders has now played in 87 games in his NFL career and he has made 209 tackles, defensed 31 passes, has 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and he has intercepted 5 passes.  This was a nice move for the Patriots as they need to add depth to the defensive backfield with all of the free agent losses that they have suffered.

The Patriots have signed CB Jason Webster.  He only played in 1 game last season with the Buffalo Bills due to injury and he made 3 tackles and defensed 1 pass.  Webster has now played in 87 games in his NFL career and he has made 408 tackles, defensed 56 passes, has 1/2 sack, forced 6 fumbles and he’s intercepted 11 passes including two of which that he returned for TDs.  The 30-year old Webster is on the small side at 5′9″, 187 pounds and he projects more as a nickel or dime back at this point in the NFL career.

The Patriots have signed veteran WR Sam Aiken.  Aiken played in 12 games last season for the Bills and he caught 1 pass for 10 yards.  He has now played in 49 games in his NFL career and he has caught 19 passes for 250 yards (13.2 avg).  Aiken will be mostly playing on special teams for the Patriots if he even makes the team.
