I have a hunch that the Patriots are going to have some issues this season with age and durability.  Tom Brady has been banged up for quite a while now and the defense is getting old in places.  Plus, the secondary could be a huge weakness for the Patriots this season.  Take the under and remember that I told you so.  But, they will still have a good football team in 2008.

This could be the best version of the Patriots to date so I would bet on the over.  By doing so I think the Patriots will win at least 12 games and after looking at the schedule I think they will have no problem winning that many games as long as Tom Brady stays healthy.  He will have his best receiving corps ever to throw to and 2nd year running back Laurence Maroney is ready to explode.  Look for the Patriots defense to be especially nasty this season.  Take the over and watch the wins roll in.

More Tom Brady Numbers

If I were the Colts I would be a little bit worried that Tom Brady is 12-1 in the post-season.  But that’s not the worst part for the Colts as Brady really loves the Colts playing surface.  Brady is a remarkable 23-1 in his career on Artificial Turf.  The amazing thing about that is Brady’s home field is a grass one.  All the numbers in this matchup are pointing to the Patriots winning this football game outright.  So I would think of taking the money line and letting the Sportsbook keep the points.

The over/under for the Patriots is 10 1/2.  The Patriots are 17-2 to win the Super Bowl and 4-1 to win the AFC.

The Patriots should easily win more than 11 games, so I see money to be made there.  I also see them getting home field advantage in the AFC, so the Super Bowl and AFC Championship both look like sound investments.

When the Colts come to town for a visit on November 5th, Peyton Manning will have that familiar “deer in headlights” look on his face after he throws his 4th pick of the game.  The Patriots flat out own the Colts, and in particular….Peyton Manning.  The Patriots have are 8-1-1 against the spread the last 10 games these teams have played.

This is a no-brainer.  Pay off the car with your winnings, or buy a new one.
