Overrated Pats

Ok, so the Pats are undefeated thus far. And I would be impressed because?

Look at your division rivals. You gotta be kidding! DON’T buy into the sports media hype. Just because ESPN licks your teams boots doesn’t make them a great team. In fact, you STILL haven’t played a good team yet. Dallas? Please. Romo is shakier than a Parkinson’s patient at a hula contest. You have arguably the weakest division in the entire league. You’d have to be totally lame not to be able to handle the other teams in the AFC East. That means the Cheatriots only have to worry about winning a couple of games outside their division, and they’re in the playoffs. Hey, better than actually EARNING your way like other teams, right? I bet the Colts take the Patsy-poos apart and make Tommi Brady cry like the little girl she is!

Pats on Sunday Night Football

I just checked out NBC’s SNF site, www.sundaynightisfootballnight.com, and they have a ton of cool stuff. Wallpaper, widgets, multimedia. You can look at NE food, and facts about Brady. They also have Madden, Michaels and Collinsworth talking about the Pats match ups. You should go see it, because the site is great!

Great Patriots Season Preview

Dear Pats Fans,

I run an online sports community called Bleacher Report. One of our best writers (Kevan Lee) has been doing season previews for each and every NFL team. His Patriots preview is particularly good (no surprise as he is a die-hard fan).

Make sure to show Kevan and the Pats your support in the comment threads!

Thanks guys,

In Bill We Trust,

This is more of a question asking blog if anything.  Now I know as Pats fans, we are always telling ourselves thise infamous words “In Bill We Trust”.  What hapened when Bill made the first major change by letting Lawyer Milloy go the season after the SuperBowl?  I think every Patriot fan collectively breathed in deeply and screamed at the top of their lungs “What are you doing?”.  How about Ty Law?  Or Andruzzi?  Or Bledsoe?  These guys were fan favorites and when Bill B and Scott P let these guys go, we thought they were smoking something in that front office of theirs.

This past offseason they let Willie go, Adam go, David G go and now Deion B basically go.  Many are still making the statement “Man I think his luck has run out”.  Guys, this system works.  It has worked so wel that other teams around the league are trying to pattern themselves after this illustrious franchise.  Do you remember that old commercial for the short lived Bud Dry?  Why ask Why?  Just go with the flow and let Bill do his work.  Has he really failed us yet?  When the time comes that he fails us or has run his course, then we can rib him and crucify him but, until then … enjoy the moment.  Go Pats!

State of the Union,

Here we are bringing baseball to a close and it could not come at a better time for Patriots fans out there.  While struggling to stay above water as Red Sox fans during the off season, we anticipatingly await the arrival of our pigskin tradition.

I ask many people which do they think is America’s game and about 80% of those said it is Football hands down.  Why is this?  I think it is this way for many reasons … 1) The baseball season is way too long.  It drags out so far and long that a lot of people tend to lose interest until payoff time.  2)  Baseball is practically every day.  Football is once a week and is a major event when it comes that once a week for 17 weeks if not more.  3) Fantasy football rules the land for the same reason, you dont have to make changes every single day.  Once a week and you will put a good team on the internet playing field.  With this surge and multi million dollar business called Fantasy Football, it has caused fans not ony to watch and pay attention to their own team but also al other teams also.  I mean let me ask you, Before fantasy football did you ever really look at the ticker accross the bottom of the screen during the game?

So I am a firm believer that Football rules the land and I am so ready I can taste the dirt and grass in my mouth already!!
